What is Pole Fitness? 

​It is a type of pole dancing with technique and a variety of conditioning and stretching exercises on and off the pole in order to gain strength, endurance, coordination and flexibility resulting in toned muscles and a beautifully defined physique, strong core and an improved posture.

What is a typical class like? 

​All classes share a common structure, consisting of a warm up, conditioning exercises on and off the pole, learning pole dance and some other additional activities (e.g. Circuits, "Carousel", learning small sequences and choreographies etc.), we then finish with stretching and a cooldown.

How much do classes cost?

​The first class which is a Trial Class is €10,  paid at the end of the class. After that, regular classes are â‚¬15 or you could save  by getting a Pre-Paid Class Card for â‚¬40.

Pre-Paid Class Card is for 4 lessons â‚¬10 per class and must be used within 1 month. It is non-transferable and non-refundable.

I forgot or lost my Pre-Paid Class Card. What do I do?

​No worries, as all payments are carefully registered and followed. Just make sure to bring it next time. If you lost your Class Card, you will get another one.

What time and days are the classes on?

​Pole Fitness classes are held weekly on:

TUESDAYS 

- 8:00pm  - Total Beginners / Beginners

THURSDAYS

- 5:20pm - Total Beginners / Beginners

- 6:30pm - Total Beginners / Beginners

- 7:40pm - Intermediates

- 8:45pm -  Total Beginners / Beginners

How can I book a class and how many days prior the class should I do my booking?

​You can book a class via text on 085 819 6145 (preferable) or email. There are no restrictions how early you should book a class, although earlier booking (3-7 days in advance) would ensure your place in the class.

I have booked a class, but I can't attend it due to a change in my schedule or another reason. What should I do?

If you cannot attend your booked class, please contact me as soon as possible to cancel the booking. A text on 085-8196145.

What should I wear?

A tank top and a pair of shorts would be the best option. Jewellery is not allowed to be worn due to health safety reasons. Please also bring a water bottle and towel with you.

Are there any age restrictions to join the class?

​Anyone starting with 16 years old and more are welcome to join the Pole Fitness classes.

Are Pole Fitness classes drop in classes or is it a course?

​Pole Fitness Cork has a both a drop in option or a course. While progressing, you will be moved to the next level groups according to your skill level in your own time.

How long is one class?

A normal class is 60 minutes long, however, we have a warm up before the class. Therefore, it is highly recommended to be ready 10 minutes before the class starts.

Which class should I join? How do I know which group would be suitable for me?

​You can always contact me to advise the best option for you or use this information below as a guideline.

 

 <Total Beginners / Beginners> If you have never done Pole Fitness or Pole Dance before or you have already had a few classes that would be the perfect option. During the class all moves and elements are carefully explained, focusing on correct technique from the first step. The class is quite slowpaced and includes certain conditioning and stretching programme to prepare your body for more complicated movements.

 

<Intermediates> If you have trained for a while and are familiar with Pole Dance technique, that could be right choice for you. This class includes more complicated elements, challenging conditioning and stretching programme, as well as learning sequences and making up your own. 

 

<Beginners / Experienced Beginners> If you know basic Pole Dance elements, although not ready yet for Intermediate class, it is the right place to improve already know moves, learn new ones and gain more control and strength in your body. This class is thought at a moderate pace.

Is it alright to eat before the class?

​You could have a small snack (couple of nuts or dried fruit, an apple or any other alike food) 15-30 minutes before the class. However, it is not recommended to have a meal later than 2 hours before the class.

What poles are used for training?

​We use one of the world leading brands poles - X-Poles. At the moment we have three X-Sport Chrome 40mm (static) and one X-Pert Chrome 45mm (spinning) poles.

Where can I find additional information about moves we learn?

​You can find additional information on the moves here on the website, the  Facebook page or just simply browse YouTube. ;)

I saw pictures of the current students on this website and the Facebook page. Am I going to be photographed as well?

​Pictures are taken on your request and ONLY with the student's permission and are sent via email for personal use. After sending the pictures to the owner, all data is permanently deleted, leaving the owner with the only copy.

 

Important: No pictures are published on social networks or other internet pages (like Facebook or Google+ etc.) without students' authorization!
